St. Thomas Aquinas' annual October Market took place at the Lower School campus on Mockingbird Lane.
The St. Thomas Mothers Association's October Market, which took place last weekend, was a huge success for all involved. October Market is a perfect example of all the hard work the moms of St. Thomas Aquinas do for our community.
The event had silent auctions benefiting St. Vincent De Paul and a "mom's café," and proceeds of this event will go to the charities that the St. Thomas Aquinas Mothers support.
The large crowds wandered through hallways set up with tables laden with goods for sale. Eighty vendors offered everything from jewelry to Christmas decorations to Tupperware to clothing. This year, some booths were located outside. Lakewood Garden's mums looked even prettier out in the courtyard.
Among the merchants were some familiar STA parishioners and parents. Lori Williams and her daughter Melissa spent the summer making jewelry to sell at the market. Lori manned the jewelry end of the table, while Melissa took poinsettia orders for the Bishop Lynch Choir at the other. All the money they raked in will help pay for Melissa's school trip to Mexico. Don't you love parents who don't simply whip out the checkbook?
