Stefanie Spaeth of Lakewood Pet Watch sent notices yesterday afternoon about two dogs who went missing in separate instances.

Devo got loose near Greenville Avenue about 7 p.m. Aug. 30. He's a slender greyhound-mix, mostly white with brown markings.

He has an embedded microchip with identifying information, but the registration is under the name of a man who's now in the U.S. Army and deployed to Germany.

In the other case, a good neighbor on Lakewood Boulevard was caring for the dog-next-door while the dog's humans were away. Stella, the dog, slipped out from behind the fence Aug. 30.

Stella is about 8 years old, medium build, about 45 pounds, mostly brown, of mixed heritage. She's wearing a collar with Dallas registration tags — good humans, good.
